Model Feature: The Georgia featured imageThe Georgia is a Craftsman-style home with a wealth of architectural detail, beautifully and solidly constructed. The open floor plan makes the most of every square foot, and not a bit of space is wasted in this elegant design. The house is elevated from garage level, and the nine-foot walls add to the open feeling inside.

At a Glance

Part of the appeal of this floor plan is the careful consideration evident in the design details. There are an overwhelming amount of choices for you in tile, hardwood flooring, countertop materials, and other top quality finishes to give the home your unique stamp.

At the front of the Georgia, you'll find the generous two-car garage. Next to the garage is a porch entryway at the top of a short flight of three steps. Large front bedroom windows rest above the garage. The home's detailed trim is an eye-catching combination of smooth spaces, siding, and brick accents.

A Closer Look

From the front stoop, you'll step into a roomy foyer with a full-sized coat closet directly across from the front door. A well-placed water closet sits adjacent to the kitchen and garage. When entering through the garage, you'll go through a convenient mud room complete with a bench and lockers.

A pass-through pantry opens to the mud room, making it convenient to store snacks for kids playing outdoors. They can pop into the mud room to use the half bath and grab a snack without tracking dirt or mud into the rest of the house. The stairs are centrally located to divide the front of the house from the open family room, dining area, and kitchen at the rear.

A Feeling of Openness

One of the most striking design features of the Georgia is the open living arrangement that takes up over half of the spacious first floor. A gracious living room, dining room, and kitchen come together in an open concept. The kitchen sink is located in the generous centre island and breakfast bar, and it faces the living room. This is a nice touch, as the person washing up after dinner can still be in the centre of family activity.

The kitchen has ample counter space for appliances, décor, and large-scale food preparation. The elegant detail of the rest of the house is continued here, with stone kitchen countertops and high-end cabinetry. The walk-through pantry opens to the kitchen away from the stove and sinks, in a well-engineered traffic flow design. The lighting in the kitchen coordinates with the rest of the great room installations.

The living room space encompasses an entire side of this open layout family area, and a natural gas fireplace with mantle rests in the middle of the focal wall. The other half of the spacious multi-use room is nicely divided by the kitchen in the foreground and dining area behind it. This format encourages family interaction. One parent might be in the kitchen and the other in the living room, while the children do homework at the dining room table. With this open concept, the whole family will be together.

Practical Use of Space

The stairs off the foyer lead to an open bonus room on the second floor. This flexible space can be used as a home office, workout area or playroom – the possibilities are just about limitless. A laundry room next to the stairs is a useful addition also accessed from here, and it has built-in room for linens.

A short hallway at the front of the bonus room leads to a full second bath and two bedrooms. The two bedrooms are spacious, with large closets and immediate access to the full bath. No space is wasted here, with every wall of the hall taken up with doors to the bedrooms, bathroom, and an extra linen closet.

The luxurious master suite takes up nearly a third of the 1,081 square foot top floor with its roomy walk-in closet and five-piece ensuite bathroom. When stepping into the sumptuous ensuite bathing area, you'll see a soaking tub with garden windows above it, followed by a step-in shower. The toilet is across from the corner shower and the polished stone countertop with two basins is directly across from the tub. The double-vanity design gives each person the luxury of having their own sink to use when getting ready in the morning.

What More Could You Need?

This three-bedroom, 2.5 bath home with bonus room is exquisitely suited to the needs of a growing family. With 1,944 square feet on two floors, the Georgia has enough room for everyone. A main floor half-bath and mudroom are practical touches, and an upstairs flex room provides a separate place to relax.

This gracious home is designed to make the best use of space, giving you solid value in your new home purchase. It's also built with an emphasis on affordable style and beauty. Contact us to learn more about this comfortable family home that combines luxury and practicality in one dwelling.
